And something else about this just keeps rubbing me the wrong way? Like… a 6'4" Black man is inherently scary right? Like, that’s her point? Just, every time someone goes “I hope they try that shit in Harlem” or “say that shit to a Black man in Compton” it’s always with this insinuation that a Nazi is gonna get their ass kicked, like 1. all Black folk are inherently violent right? and 2. all Black folk exist purely for the sake of doing labor for everyone else? I mean, WHITE PEOPLE created this problem - they voted a White supremacist into the white house and they’re constantly pushing this whole “don’t fight violence with violence” rhetoric whenever someone posts a video of someone punching a Nazi, yet Black people as a whole are expected to clean up this fucking mess one Nazi at a time? We’re constantly vilified for being oh so “threatening” and “scary” - so scary that cops frequently gun us down just for existing in their general vicinity while Black, but it’s totally ok for us to be big, scary, and violent as long as a white is siccing us on a Nazi? Jfc, clean up your own damn messes and fight your own damn Nazis - we’re not your mules and we’re not your fucking attack dogs.
A lot of our enemies (and “allies” tbh) are just waiting for dead Black bodies to become a part of this resistance movement so that they can get that “Just like the Civil Rights Era!” experience, from the comfort of their homes. We aren’t JUST their mules and attack dogs. We’re their death porn.
